Transportation and Infrastructure

As a member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, I’m proud to fight for the Fourth Congressional District’s transportation and infrastructure needs in Congress. The Fourth District hosts numerous modes of transportation and infrastructure that are vital to our communities and local economies, including ports, railroads, airports, interstate and state highways, rural roads, public transit, hiking and biking trails, and more.

Oregon’s rural and coastal communities face particular transportation and infrastructure challenges. As the federal government works to implement the historic infrastructure bill that President Biden and congressional Democrats passed in 2021 – the “Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act” – I am committed to ensuring that our rural and coastal communities are not left behind.

I am also using my position on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee to fight for better wages, hours, and working conditions for transportation and infrastructure workers in Oregon and across the country. These workers have our backs when we drive, fly, and ride; when we need infrastructure built or repaired; and more. I’m fighting in Congress to ensure we have their backs too.
